Hints
You have undoubtedly heard a lot in the media lately that GPs are very busy. However, this does not mean that we cannot help you or that you should postpone your care. On the contrary! It just takes a little more planning so that everyone can get the appropriate help in time. You can also help us to make this planning run smoothly. That is why we are happy to share the tips below with you. Together we can ensure that we can continue to guarantee our care as best as possible!
-
If you need an appointment, don't wait too long to book it.
-
Don't see any appointments available online? Then call the practice. We usually have appointments available every day that are not online, specifically for people with urgent problems.
-
Specify whether it is an urgent appointment or not.
-
Can't get into the practice by phone in the morning? Be patient, the phone lines are probably busy. Please try again in about five minutes.
-
Before each consultation, check whether you still need prescriptions for your regular medication and discuss this during your appointment.
-
Keep your phone conversation with your doctor as short as possible. If you need more time, please make an appointment.

During scheduled checks
-
If you have to come for a scheduled check-up, book your appointment preferably one or two weeks in advance.
-
Planned checks should preferably not be scheduled on Mondays, bridging days or after an extended weekend. This way people who get sick at the weekend can go quickly.
-
Plan routine appointments preferably outside the holiday periods. General practitioners often take leave themselves and it is therefore busier for the remaining doctors.
Did you know…?
-
Parents of school-going children have certificates to justify a short-term absence from school themselves.
-
Employees of companies with more than 50 employees can now stay at home for one day three times a year because of illness, without having to submit a doctor's note.
-
You op www.zinloosattest.be can find more information about current certificates that are not actually justified. This is how you help us to reduce the administrative burden.
